I am very grateful for the Mukawa River. I rafted from Shimukappu upstream to Tomiuchi in Mukawa Town and canoed downstream from there. The river was great for water sports, so when the boat capsized, it was fun to swim straight up, climb the cliff, and dive into the river again! The only regret I have is that I didn’t paddle to the river’s mouth and see the Pacific Ocean.
