◎Tokoro River which is lined with frost-covered trees
We took a picture in Kitami City ,which is cooled down to about -10 ℃. The water temperature drops and becomes a “frost smoke,” and water droplets adhere to the trees in the basin. Furthermore, it is cooled to become rime on trees, and the entire landscape is dyed in silver. The scenery of rime on the Tokoro River is a winter tradition in this area. Many photographers get together.
◎Abashiri River from autumn to winter
We took a picture in the Abashiri River after the autumn leaves and before it snowed. The freezing of the Abashiri River had just begun, and there was thin ice on the surface of the water. Also, thin ice began to form in Lake Abashiri. As the temperature drops, the ice on Lake Abashiri becomes thicker, and you can enjoy winter activities such as smelt fishing.
