The Uryu River flows through Horokanai Town, a heavy snowfall area in Hokkaido.
The cherry blossoms in Lake Shumarinai, which is located upstream from the river, are short and spread out horizontally in the shape of an owan, as if they cannot grow due to the snow and cold.
The petals are also small, and I was hoping to capture the lovely shape of the cherry blossoms, but unfortunately, 70% of them were still in bud. I’ll have to try again!
