[Capturing the Rivers of Hokkaido!]
Osarappe River and Takasu Town

The Osarappe River flows peacefully through the rural landscape of Takasu Town.
In the early pioneer days, the river meandered and often overflowed during the snowmelt season, causing serious damage.
In 1919, an association was formed by the residents of the basin, and the river was repaired over a period of six years.
