The Teshio River ice melting time guessing quiz is held every year in Nakagawa Town in northern Hokkaido.
The long winter, when the Teshio River freezes over and becomes a snowfield, is coming to an end, and this year the door to spring quietly began to open at 19:08 on March 25.
