On the evening of Tanabata, the Rumoi River was decorated with blue lights to send thanks and encouragement to medical personnel fighting against the new type of coronavirus infection.
In addition, an event was held to pray for the happiness of families and the convergence of the new coronavirus with the illumination of the Odori Bridge, which resembled the Milky Way.

At the venue, the history of the Rumoi River Festival over the past 30 years was shown, handmade candles were lit, and a surprise fireworks display was also held.
The Rumoi River, which was colored blue, was particularly impressive, and we were able to quietly enjoy the event while thinking about this summer.
