I visited the Chitose Aquarium on October 16, 2024.
The Chitose Aquarium has an observation window where visitors can see the real Chitose River underwater.
This year, the salmon run was said to be low, but on this day, many salmon were swimming. Visitors were also looking closely at the salmon swimming. It was a relief to see the salmon back in the Chitose River.

Along the promenade next to the aquarium, autumn leaves were beautiful.
