To hear children’s cheers echoing in the Ishikari River, we went to “Mizube-no-Shizenjuku,” （Gathering to experience nature by the water）an environmental learning program sponsored by Ebetsu City, again this year, following last year.
Forty elementary school students from Ebetsu City experienced catching fish in the Ishikari River, listened to stories about the Ishikari River and the names of fish, and in the afternoon, went for an exciting and thrilling river cruise.They enjoyed their summer vacation day to the fullest.
