The “Blue Waterfall,” which appears only in winter in the upper reaches of the Tokachi River, revealed itself once again this year as a massive icefall.
Traveling upstream along the Tokachi River, past Tokachi Dam and the Tomuraushi settlement, the waterfall can be found about one kilometer upstream along the Pontomuraushi River from Akebono Bridge.Snow began to fall partway along the trail to the waterfall, slightly dulling its blue color. However, during the shoot, the sky briefly cleared, and the blue of the waterfall became even more vivid.
