In late May, I visited Asari Dam, located upstream along the Asari River. As it was the snowmelt season, I was able to see water gracefully overflowing from the dam’s spillway. The weather was beautiful that day, and both Otarunai Lake, the dam reservoir, and the Asari Ohashi Bridge (Asari Sky Loop) downstream looked especially stunning under the clear sky.
Next time, I would love to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

From the dam crest, looking downstream toward the Asari Ohashi Bridge (Asari Sky Loop). In the distance, you can even see the Sea of Japan. It was my first time driving across this bridge, so I felt a bit nervous—but excited.
Otarunai Lake appeared a beautiful emerald green, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding mountains.
Downstream of the dam, I also found this monument, standing out vividly against the blue sky.
