Participated in the Ishikari River Basin Route Cycling Tour in Eniwa “Salmon Ride”<Part 2>
The Ishikari River Basin Route Cycling Tour, originally scheduled for Friday, July 25, 2025 but postponed due to a heatstroke alert, was finally held on Thursday, September 4 under lingering summer heat, with a high of 28°C.
This annual cycling event is organized to test, promote, and monitor the Ishikari River Basin Route. This time, the approximately 57 km ride started at the Road & River Station* “Hana Road Eniwa,” continued via the roadside station* “Maoi no Oka Park” and ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO, and finished at JR Kitahiroshima Station.
* A Japanese road & river station and roadside station featuring local food, restaurants, and tourist information.

We departed Hana Road Eniwa at 10:00 a.m. and took a short break at Murakami Farm. After rehydrating at Daigakubashi Memorial Park, we headed toward Maoi no Oka Park.

We arrived at Maoi no Oka Park at 12:30 p.m. for a lunch break. From here, the ride entered its second half. Enjoying a pleasant breeze, we passed a hydration point and continued on toward ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO.

At 3:00 p.m., we arrived at ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO. After some time to rest and look around, we safely reached the final destination, JR Kitahiroshima Station, at 3:45 p.m.

We hope that this year’s cycling tours will contribute to improvements in cycle tourism across Hokkaido and help create new opportunities for visitors to fully enjoy the unique attractions of each region.
