Just outside the south exit of Asahikawa Station, the garden stretches from east to west and the clear Chubetsu River flows through it.
The garden is home to 80,000 plants of about 300 varieties of flowers, trees, and native grasses.
It takes about one hour to walk from the station to the garden center and back.
The garden is a delight to the eyes of Asahikawa citizens and people waiting for the train.
