Since the beginning of May, strong winds have been blowing, and I have been troubled by the winds when taking pictures of cherry blossoms.
I find myself sighing as the cherry blossom season comes to an end.
In the midst of all this, I went to Higashikawa Town to photograph rice planting by “Saotome at the “Shinsenden” rice field at the Hokkaido Jingu Shrine, which I had longed to do.
What a surprise! There was no wind. The lovely cherry blossoms and the Daisetsu Mountains reflected in Lake Chubetsu. There was a gentle air in the air.
*Shinsenden is a rice field where shrines produce rice for use in Shinto rituals.
