The sun rising over the Sea of Okhotsk turns the Shokotsu River red.Upstream at Kinsenkyo Gorge in Takinoue Town, melting snow is a sign that spring in Hokkaido is on its way.
When I returned to the mouth of the river in the evening, I found the Shokotsu River beautifully gradated by the lingering red light of the clouds.
