The JR Soya Main Line leaves Asahikawa Station and enters Shibetsu City, running along the Teshio River until Horonobe Town.The only crossing of the Teshio River is at the Shibetsu-Gawa Bridge in Shibetsu City.
A little further upstream, “Tsukumo no Watariishi” (crossing stones of Tsukumo) crosses the Teshio River, although people are not allowed to cross it.
