A one-day outdoor event held in the heart of Chitose City. On September 7, an outdoor festival was held in the Green Belt area of central Chitose, allowing visitors to enjoy outdoor activities right in the city. The event was a public–private collaboration held in conjunction with the “Chitose City Aviation Festival.”
At the riverside park along the Chitose River, entrepreneurs offered a variety of unique services and products, and food trucks were also on site.
Despite light rain, many people came out to enjoy the event.
A booth run by a local bookstore. A friendly dog was there to greet visitors.
On a road closed to traffic, people freely drew pictures with chalk. Everyone looked like they were having fun.
Shikotsuko Beer had a booth offering craft beer as well as non-alcoholic drinks. I tried the Shikotsuko Blue Lemonade.
It was very popular, with long lines forming.
The Chitose River Office booth was also a hit. Children learned about flood control basins and observed fish collected from the Chitose River in tanks—it was a great learning experience.
