The Sunagawa Sweet Maranic 2025, organized by the Sunagawa Tourism Association, was held on Sunday, September 21.
Despite slightly windy conditions, a record-breaking 432 participants took part in the event. Walking at a relaxed pace, participants made their way toward the finish line while enjoying the scenic landscapes and natural surroundings of Sunagawa Oasis Park and the Ishikari River riverbanks. Courses were available to suit different levels and ages: a Long Course (approximately 15 km), a Short Course (approximately 8 km), and a Family Course (approximately 6 km).
At the aid stations, participants were treated to sweets from the famous Sunagawa Sweet Road as well as local specialty products. In addition, those who completed the course received special rewards, including apple pie vouchers and entry into a fun prize drawing.
