Okhotsk Ryu-hyo Museum

This is a tourist attraction on a theme of drift ice and the wildlife that inhabit the Sea of Okhotsk.

Experience spectacular scenry that encompasses everything from the Sea of Okhotsk and mountains of Akan, and the Shiretoko Mountain Range, to the Lakes Abashiri, Notoro, Tofutsu and Mokoto. Each season brings with it diverse beauty. Inside the facility visitors can enjoy the largest projection mapping of its kind in Hokkaido, and view “clione,” angels that live beneath the drift ice. Actual drift ice from the sea is on exhibit in the drift ice experiential terrace.

Tentozan Observatory is free. This facility is barrier free to provide easy access for those with physical disabilities.
