The Pirika Dam is located in the upper reaches of the clear stream, Shiribeshitoshibetsu River. The crest length (dam length) is 1,480m, which is the longest in Japan, as a complex dam built by combining two or more types. Besides, the fishway around the dam is 2.4km, the longest in Japan. In the fishway observation window, you can see seasonal fish passing through the fishway.
