[Capturing the Rivers of Hokkaido!]
Tokoro River System, Muka River Tributary
A Large Mizubasho Colony

Driving toward Kamikawa on National Route 39 from Rubeshibe, near the Sekihoku Pass, there is a wetland of the Itomuka River, a tributary of the Tokoro River system’s Muka River, where a large colony of mizubasho is spreading.
I took the photos on May 6 last year, but the full bloom maybe earlier this year.

Mizubasho are the signs of spring

The roots of a fallen tree are the guardian of the mizubasho?
