[Capturing the Rivers of Hokkaido!]
Kushiro River is perfect for an autumn stroll

On an autumn day, walk around Nusamai Bridge in Kushiro City.
Cross the Nusamai Bridge from the city center, pass through the roundabout, and walk up the Shussezaka slope, and you will find Nusamai Park.
In the park, there is a statue of Takeshiro Matsuura, who explored the area with Ainu people as guides.
Also, on the left bank downstream of the Nusamai Bridge, there is a statue of Takuboku and the Koubunkan (former Kushiro Newspaper) where Takuboku Ishikawa worked, where materials about the port and Takuboku are on display.
Lastly, Kushiro River is famous for sunset in autumn.
