At this site, the construction of the irrigation ditch “Taisho Yosui” was completed in 1916.
Since then, this area has become the “source of water” in Fukagawa, and a park with a water source shrine and monuments erected to pray for a good harvest and the safety of the irrigation project is located here.
The Ishikari River seen from here has the appearance of a large, slow-moving river.
