We saw a group of concrete arch bridges of the former Japanese National Railways (JNR) Shihoro Line scattered along the upper reaches of the Otofuke River that flows through Kamishihoro Town.
The No. 3 Otofuke Bridge reflects the beautiful scenery of the river, and there is a railroad museum in the Nukabira hot spring resort area upstream of the river. The Taushubetsu River bridge standing on Lake Nukabira had been collapsing for some time.
