In the height of summer, the Hidaka Cycling Association held a test run event along the Saru River. Participants rode about 20 km from Tomikawa Sarugawa Seseragi Park in Hidaka Town to Nibutani Dam in Biratori Town, taking in the scenery of Hidaka, which is typical of a horse producing area, including grass rolls and grazing horses.
