Lake Chibaberi at Rumoi Dam, where standing dead white birch trees are reflected on the fresh green surface of the lake.
I went up to the “Senbodai” observatory, which commands a panoramic view of the city of Rumoi.
From the Rumoi Lighthouse near the mouth of the Rumoi River, I could see beyond the harbor to the Shokanbetsu mountain range with lingering snow. It is a nice season.
