[Capturing the Rivers of Hokkaido!]
Crossing the “Nandaro Bridge” leads to a river park

The Nandaro Bridge is a wooden bridge over the Kushiro River that runs near Mashu Onsen, a roadside station in Teshikaga Town.
This unique bridge is said to be made of Bongoshi wood from West Africa, which is dense enough to sink into the water.
After crossing the bridge, you will come to a river park on the old river that used to be the Kushiro River.A bird-watching hut and a children’s plaza have been developed, and the waterwheel hut is not just for decoration; the electricity generated by the waterwheel is used to light up the lights at night and to open and close the sluice gates.
