Miyajimanuma Pond thawed on April 8, and by April 10, 32,000 bean geese had been observed.The dawn departure from the roost is a spectacular sight. They return to the pond during the day to rest, then scatter groups to their chosen feeding areas. By evening, bathed in the setting sun, they return to their roosts, delighting visitors throughout the day.
