The 32nd Teshio River Canoe Touring Event, Down the Teshio-opet 2025, was held over two days on August 2 (Sat) and 3 (Sun). On the 3rd, a total of 87 boats, 137 participants, and two dogs took part.
This year, the route started at Mikazuki Lake (Horonobe Old River) in Horonobe Town and continued 23 km downstream to the mouth of the Teshio River.
The weather was excellent with a helpful tailwind—perfect conditions for canoeing. Paddlers enjoyed the magnificent scenery of the lower Teshio River, including passing the 45th parallel north.
