Beautiful gorges can be seen along the Shokotsu River in Takinoue Town. In spring, fresh greenery appears; in autumn, the leaves change color; and in winter, water seeping from the cliffs freezes into icicles. Rakuyo Falls is frozen over, and the Shokotsu River flows vigorously out from a tunnel of ice.
