On April 28 and 29, 2026, the Yubari Shuparo Dam was illuminated for the public to view in conjunction with the dam’s spillway overflow.
Every year in late April, as the snow melts, the water flows into the Yubari Shuparo Dam and overflows the spillway, cascading downstream in four distinct streams.
