On this tour, you will visit the Shin-Katsurazawa Dam and the Mikasa-Ponbetsu Dam (currently under construction), as well as a museum and the quarry where stone was extracted for the dams.

By learning about the geological strata used in the dams’ construction, you can gain a deeper appreciation for their appeal.

◆Itinerary：Mikasa City Museum → Genseki Mountain → Mikasa Ponbetsu Dam → Lunch (Geo-Iku) → Shinkatsurazawa Dam

*Lunch will be a “Geo Ekiben” bento box inspired by the Mikasa Geopark.
