The “Kitami Bonchi Festival,” one of the three major festivals in Kitami City, Hokkaido, will be held.
“Bonchi” refers to a basin.

The festival features a diverse lineup of events, including a “Dance Parade” where participants in yukata parade through the city center, the Tonden Great Tug-of-War pitting East against West, the Samba Kitami Bayashi, and a Children’s Carnival.
The festival culminates in a summer fireworks display that lights up the summer night sky over Kitami City.
