This event has become a summer tradition in Minami-Furano Town. It began in 1972 with the aim of promoting Lake Kanayama. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities, including food trucks, local food and drink stalls, outdoor experiences, and stage shows. Of course, there’s also a tour of the Kanayama Dam.

During the nighttime fireworks display, 2,000 fireworks—including a 700-meter-long Niagara display—will light up the sky, and the reflection of the fireworks on the lake’s surface is a particularly captivating sight.
