August 31, 2016, marks the 10th anniversary of the flood that caused extensive damage to Minami-Furano Town.

This event serves as an opportunity to reflect on that day so that its memory is not forgotten, and will feature various activities, including a demonstration and training session by the Hokkaido Fire and Disaster Prevention Helicopter, which was deployed during the disaster.
