It is a multipurpose dam constructed in the upper reaches of the Tokoro River. The annual Oketo Lake Festival is held at the multipurpose square by Lake Oketo formed by the dam. The Seseragi Suiro (artificial stream) is a popular playground for children in summer. Many people enjoy pond smelt fishing on the frozen lake in winter.
